About Dr. Gelman: After graduating on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Dr. Gelman graduated in the top ten percent of his class at the Rush University College of Medicine in Chicago. Here he received the Ramsey Outstanding Scholarship Award and was a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Society. Dr. Gelman completed his residency in general surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center.

Dr. Gelman is a former U.S. Air Force general surgeon and has practiced medicine in Melbourne for over 16 years. He is board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Gelman’s expertise encompasses a wide range of areas with extensive experience in general, breast, thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
