Proceeds Benefit Local Nonprofit Breast Friends of Florida

 Melbourne, FL (April 22, 2011) – TEPAS Breast Center, Breast Friends of Florida and your Brevard County Manatees invite you to join us on May 7, 2011 at Space Coast Stadium for “Batting For A Cure.”  Support an important cause and enjoy family fun! Your Brevard County Manatees will wear custom, autographed, pink uniforms that they will auction for charity. Breast cancer survivors admitted free and will be honored in a special pre-game ceremony and walk around the bases. Tickets are $7 and group tickets are available. $4 of every ticket sale, as well as all funds raised during auctions, will benefit Breast Friends of Florida. Festivities include: ladies’ night and health care vendors, giveaways, chance drawings and much more. Breast Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for female cancer patients. The organization teaches friends and family specific ways to offer support, helps them understand what their loved one is going through, and suggests resources for the woman and for those who care about her. A number of programs developed by Breast Friends have proven valuable in assisting and reassuring the patient, her friends and family.Breast Friends believes that no woman should go through the cancer experience alone; unfortunately, it happens. Even women with friends and family nearby often fail to receive the kind of emotional, spiritual or physical support they really need. Breast Friends is designed to make sure proper support is given and received. Every woman in America will be touched by breast or other women’s cancers in her lifetime. One in eight women will be diagnosed, and the other seven will know her. The goal of Breast Friends is to reach the seven in order to help the one.
